Robyn Hamrick, LISW-CP Supervisor
Welcome!! My name is Robyn Hamrick. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a focus in Clinical Practice, Supervision and Professional Consultation. I have been in the mental health field for 12 years.
For the first 6 years of my career, I worked with adolescents in inpatient, outpatient and school base settings. Over the last 6 years, I have been in private practice settings where my focus has been with adults and adolescents (15+) specializing in Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Life transitions/stress.
Clinically, I offer an interpersonal style and approach of Cognitive Therapy, combining the belief that the therapeutic relationship takes the lead in healing with a combination of education and skills-based approach. I have witnessed and truly grown to believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation of trust and therefore the path that leads to growth and change. I strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment allowing for vulnerability, safety and encouragement. Having a role in a persons life to hold space for their hardships, help celebrate their accomplishments, and walk beside them on this journey of life, is something I value and honor everyday.
I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach, utilizing interventions that best fit clients needs. I utilize evidence-based interventions informed by current best practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Attachment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
