Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I am in network with BCBS and Aetna and will be with Cigna and UnitedHealthcare soon.

What to expect after my initial contact to Mindful Paths?

Once you submit a contact form, I will reach out directly through e-mail regarding the intake process. You will get access to the Client Portal where you will fill out all intake paperwork and then request your first appointment. Intake paperwork must be filled out completely prior to request of first appointment. This helps us to be able to jump right in during your first appointment instead of having to work on paperwork. However, if you are in need of help completing any paperwork, I would be happy to help you with it during that first appointment.

What should I expect in my first therapy appointment?

Your first therapy session is a chance for us to get to know each other and lay the foundation for our work together. It’s normal to feel a little nervous—many people do—but you don’t need to prepare anything in advance.

During our first meeting, we’ll talk about:

  • What brings you to therapy – whether it’s a specific issue, a general feeling, or a major life change.

  • Your goals – what you hope to get out of therapy, even if you’re not sure yet.

  • Your background – including relevant personal or medical history that may help inform the process.

  • How therapy works – I’ll explain my approach, confidentiality, and answer any questions you have.

This session is also about building comfort and trust, so you're welcome to share as much or as little as feels right. There’s no pressure to dive too deep right away—we’ll go at your pace.

By the end of the session, we’ll talk about next steps, including how often we might meet and whether you'd like to continue.

How do I participate in a virtual session?

For virtual appointments, I use a Google Meet which is a HIPAA compliant platform. The morning of your virtual appointment, you will receive a link for our appointment.

Where is the office located?

If you click on “Contact” there is a map at the bottom of the page that shows you where the office is located. When you put 420 The Pkwy into your GPS, it will take you to the correct area, but you will need to locate Suite K (Suites are listed on outside of the building). Suite K is in the building closest to the Spinx (right across the road from the Publix entrance on The Parkway.

How do I book or cancel an appointment?

Managing all appointments is done through our secure Client Portal. Once you complete paperwork and schedule your first appointment, you will have access to managing your appointments. For cancellations/rescheduling, please give 24 hours notice to avoid late cancellation fee.
